**Send in money for zoo fieldtrip ASAP!!!
**On OCTOBER 15TH, PHES WILL BE HOSTING OUR PARENT TEACHER MEETINGS TO DISCUSS STUDENTS’ PROGRESS. MEETINGS FOR K-2 ARE 5:30-6:30. PTO IS ALSO HOSTING A DINNER. TICKETS MAY BE PURCHASED IN ADVANCE. NOTES WERE SENT HOME LAST WEEK.
**Please remember that we are collecting SHOEBOXES FOR SOLDIERS October 3rd-30th (Note sent last week) Please participate to show our appreciation for our military. All students who bring in a shoebox filled with items will receive +5 DOJO!!!!

* PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU CHECK YOUR CHILD'S FOLDER FOR HOMEWORK ASSIGNMENTS AND NOTES. ALL HOMEWORK SHOULD BE COMPLETED AND RETURNED THE NEXT DAY. PLEASE READ THE WEEKLY NEWSLETTER LOCATED IN THE SHEET PROTECTOR OF YOUR CHILD'S FOLDER. PLEASE CHECK YOUR CHILD'S AGENDA FOR HOMEWORK ASSIGNMENTS AND BEHAVIOR. **OUR ACTIVITY DAYS WILL BE ROTATED. WE WILL HAVE ACTIVITY TIME DAILY FROM 10:55-11:45. BELOW IS A KEY TO SHOW THE DAILY ACTIVITIES.

***PLEASE MAKE SURE THAT YOUR CHILD HAS A SNACK EACH DAY. OUR SNACK TIME WILL BE FROM 10:00 UNTIL 10:15.***
*Please remember to check your child's daily folder and homework agenda EACH night. We will be sending home several important reminders and new information, including information on upcoming events and fees that are due. PLEASE REMEMBER TO SIGN YOUR CHILD'S AGENDA EACH NIGHT!
Put all money or notes to the teacher in the zipper pouch of your child's daily folder so that Mrs. Lisa can collect them. All money should be clearly labeled, so that we will know which fees you are paying or if it is for lunch, snack, etc.

To keep things better organized, and to ensure
that we get students tested more efficiently, we will be sending home a blue
folder that will be dedicated to only AR. To sign up to test, simply record the
name of the book that your child has read on the log sheet in the BLUE folder
and we will test them and record the scores. At this point, we have to test
students individually, as they are not ready to log on and read the tests
independently, but we will get there!!

******IXL---Make sure students log in under FIRST GRADE SKILLS. We have been working on the “B” skills section. I have taught the students how to log in and we have been working on IXL for the past couple of weeks and the students enjoy it. PLEASE make sure that you assist your child.
