Bio

Hello!  My name is Heather Randolph and I am so excited to be the K-2 Special Education Resource Teacher this year at Pleasant Hill Elementary School.  I am a native of Desoto County and graduated from Southaven High School.  I earned my Bachelor of Arts degree in English Literature from the University of Memphis and my Masters of Arts in Teaching from Christian Brothers University.  This is my 16th year teaching, and I love it! I have an amazing 16-year old daughter named Ella, and we live in Olive Branch.  In my spare time, I enjoy reading, listening to all kinds of music, watching movies, and spending time with family, friends, and my dog Mylie.  I love children, teaching, and learning, and I am so happy to be a part of Pleasant Hill Elementary School. I am certain that your children and I will learn a great deal from one another this year, and I am grateful for the opportunity to work with them.

Weekly Word Practice

Scroll down and look under documents for great spelling and sight words to practice!  Each week, pick 10 words, and practice them using some of the fun ways I posted below, as you are able.

1.  Rainbow write words.

2.  Write a sentence or a story using your words.

3.  Write words pyramid style.

4.   Form words using play dough, Legos, or other objects.

5.  Find words in a magazine or newspaper and highlight them.

6.  Act out word meanings for your family.

7.  Type words using a fun font.

8.  Have a family Spelling Bee!
