Hey Everyone!

Each student will need to log into Schoology and complete their regular class assignments for Virtual Learning days. There are assignments on the Language arts course and on the Math course for 2nd Grade. Some of these assignments can be done on notebook paper and returned to school.

Once you've completed your class work, I'd love for you to explore the Virtual Learning Activities in Spotlight (Information is in Schoology). We have used devices in Spotlight and all of the students know how to access our page. Look for our blue garden fence. If you have any questions or need any help, please text, call, or email me.

Bio
After graduating from Auburn University, my teaching career began in Arlington, TX where I taught 4th grade.  Next, we moved to Atmore, AL, my hometown, and I taught first grade prior to our move to the Memphis area.  I began teaching at DeSoto Central in 1999.  After having taught fourth grade as well as 7th English/Literature, I have enjoyed teaching spotlight at PHES and am excited about being your child’s 2nd Grade Spotlight teacher at Pleasant Hill.  I am married to Chris Powell, and we have 2 daughters and twin grands!
