I wanted to share an opportunity for students interested in aviation and advanced manufacturing. Airbus Helicopters in Columbus, MS, is launching a new summer training program designed to equip students with industry-recognized certifications and hands-on experience, with the potential for continued training leading to an internship.
Program Details:
Training Dates: June 16 – August 21, 2025
Daily Schedule: 7:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.
Eligibility: Students must be 18 years old by June 16, 2025
Certifications Earned: 15 industry-recognized credentials
Stipend: $100 per day for attendance
Completion Benefits: Students will earn an Aviation Manufacturing Technology certification from East Mississippi Community College (EMCC)
Post-Training Opportunity: Successful students will transition into an Assembly Internship at Airbus in August
Additional Requirement: Drug testing is mandatory for participation.
The application for this program opened on March 3, 2025. This is a fantastic chance for students to gain real-world experience, earn credentials, and set themselves on a direct path to employment in the aviation industry.
